Biography

Prof. Dorcas Obiri-Yeboah is a professor of clinical microbiology in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the School of Medical Sciences, College of Health and Allied Sciences, University of Cape Coast, Ghana. She is a clinician-scientist who bridges academia and the health industry through sustained clinical impact. She holds a BSc, MBChB, MSc, and PhD, in addition to several training programmes worldwide. She has international engagements across Africa, Europe, and North America. Prof. Obiri-Yeboah has extensive undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, supervision and mentorship experience. She has coordinated for the past 5 years the Intra-Africa Mobility Project "Partnering for Health Professional Training (P4HPT-II)" by 5 universities. She is a researcher with over 130 peer-reviewed journal publications in reputable journals and several policy and guideline documents, nationally and globally. Her work focuses particularly on viral sexually transmitted pathogens, with a passion for HPV and cervical cancer prevention.
