Prof. Mama Sy

Prof. Mama Sy Diallo is a Professor of Histology, Embryology, and Cytogenetics at the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Odonto Stomatology (FMPOS) of Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD). Her academic journey began as an intern at CHU Aristide Le Dantec, followed by training as a foreign resident in Paris hospitals under the Assistance Publique–Hôpitaux de Paris. She later advanced through UCAD's academic ranks, becoming Assistant, Maître de Conférences, and Professor in 2023. Her research is extensive and multidisciplinary, covering cytogenetics, reproductive biology, histopathology, and women's health. She has published on topics such as testicular development, toxicity of medicinal plants, miscarriage histopathology, and chromosomal anomalies, including Klinefelter syndrome and trophoblastic tumors. Prof. Sy Diallo is recognized for her significant contributions to diagnostic cytology and embryological pathology, advancing biomedical research and clinical practice in Senegal.
